This San Mateo remodel centered on transforming a series of segmented rooms into a cohesive, open living environment spanning nearly 33 feet. To achieve this, we reworked the interior layout and collaborated closely with the structural engineer to reconfigure existing columns and support systems—allowing for a more expansive, uninterrupted flow while maintaining the integrity of the home.

With the new layout established, we developed the kitchen, walk-in pantry, bathroom with a curbless entry, and surrounding living spaces as a unified whole, pairing thoughtful finish selections with furnishings that reinforce warmth and continuity. The result is a space that feels open yet grounded—where structural complexity is resolved behind the scenes, and daily living unfolds with ease.
